Bones – Emily Deschanel Interview

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Bones – Emily Deschanel Interview

After months of speculation, rumors, spoilers and foilers, “Bones” fans will finally get some resolution regarding May’s maddening “alternate reality” season finale when new episodes start back up this Thursday.

We’ve watched the season premiere, and it’s good. Trust. Arguably the best premiere the show has ever done, in fact.

Why? Well, first of all, if you’re a Booth/Brennan fan, this is an episode you cannot miss. Yes, there’s a case. And Cyndi Lauper makes her debut as Angela’s psychic. But this hour is really all about B&B. Sure, their “hook up” only took place in the “alternate reality,” but that doesn’t mean it won’t have some real consequences for them and for their relationship in the actual “Bones” world.

If you’ve seen the promos, you know that Sweets and Cam both confront Booth about being in love with Brennan. But what you maybe haven’t yet heard is that one of the two actually goes out of their way to talk Booth out of expressing his feelings… complete with medical records to back their point up. You can imagine how well Booth takes that piece of advice.

But there are definite romantic moments in the episode, as creator Hart Hanson teased when we spoke to him last month. Yep, the words “I love you” are uttered more than once in the episode… though that actually falls more under the “awkward moments” category. But it’s still really sweet and, coupled with a few other swoon-worthy scenes, pretty sure you’ll be satisfied.

One of those scenes just might involve kissing. We can’t forget the kissing, because yes, there is some in the premiere. The who, why, where, we can’t spill. But we will say that one of the smooches will make you sigh… in a good way.

But yeah, enough of our talking. Listen to Ms. Emily Deschanel’s take on the whole deal…

David Boreanaz’s bundle of joy has arrived. Wife Jaime Bergman delivered the couple’s second child, daughter Bardot Vita Boreanaz, on Monday, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

Baby Bardot weighed in at 7 lbs., 14 oz., and joins big brother Jaden Rayne, 7, at home.

The birth comes as a relief to Bones star Boreanaz, who had been staying close to home in case Bergman, who had been on bed-rest, went into labor.

“I must maintain a 20-mile radius. I cannot travel beyond that,” the former Angel star, 40, told PEOPLE recently. “If I do, I’ll freak out – I have to be there when the baby comes.”

Now that Bardot has arrived, the couple can breathe easy.

“We’ve been trying to have another baby for a couple of years now so we are beyond excited,” Bergman, 33, recently told PEOPLE’s Celebrity Baby Blog. “We’re over the moon.”

The new season of Bones will premiere Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.

A little bit of trivia ‘Bardot’ is a well known name in Australia for like Fashion Designer Bridgette Bardot. And actress Sophie Monk got her big break through the 1st season of Popstars by forming a group called ‘Bardot’

Bones: Zooey Deschanel’s Coming to Town

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Bones: Zooey Deschanel’s Coming to Town

Christmas is still four months away but Bones is already giving its fans a treat by announcing that Zooey Deschanel, movie star sister of Emily Deschanel, will possibly be making a guest appearance on the show this December.

With both Deschanel sisters in the entertainment circuit, Bones fans have been waiting for this on-screen pairing for quite some time now. However, “Zooey’s rockin’ career kept getting in the way,” according to show exec producer Hart Hanson.

While older sister Emily has been solving crime mysteries as Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan on the small screen since 2005, younger sister Zooey has been making a name for herself in the big screen with supporting roles in Almost Famous and The New Guy, before playing lead in All the Real Girls, Elf, The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, The Happening, Yes Man and 500 Days of Summer. We’ve witnessed how engaging they both are separately, now it’s time to see how their on-screen chemistry plays out when Zooey appears as a relative of Emily’s Brennan on Bones.

“We’ve been looking for an opportunity to get the Deschanel girls together,” Hanson told Entertainment Weekly‘s Michael Ausiello. “We alluded to [Bones] having a cousin in Minnesota two seasons ago. I’d very much like to meet her in the Christmas episode.”

Of course, that’s assuming that Zooey’s schedule can accommodate the filming of Bones. At present, she’s busy working on the movie Your Highness, a fantasy comedy about an arrogant, lazy price and his more heroic brother who must complete a mission in order to save their father’s kingdom. Zooey, who plays Belladonna, stars alongside Natalie Portman, James Franco, Damian Lewis and Danny McBride.

Bones Season Premiere Scoop: The Return of Brennan

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Bones Season Premiere Scoop: The Return of Brennan

When Bones returns with new episodes next month, the action will pick up a few weeks after the events in May’s season finale.

Series creator Hart Hanson is on record as saying that Brennan will have just returned from a trip to Guatemala, which begs the question:

Did she really leave Booth at such a critical time, following his brain surgery? No, Hanson emphasizes.

“We’ve set up a few times that when she’s really miserable she goes down there [Guatemala] and identifies victims of the genocide down there and there are so many still remaining unidentified,” he said. “So when she’s really miserable she just throws herself into that. I promise you, Brennan did not abandon Booth. Watch the season opener; you’ll see.”

We will. It airs on September 17.

Bones – David Boreanaz Faces His Fears

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Bones – David Boreanaz Faces His Fears

Bones star David Boreanaz is threatening to exercise his power as a producer by skipping an episode later this fall that centers on a major phobia of his. “Are you kidding me?” David exclaimed, when I told him that series creator Hart Hanson is planning for his character, Seeley Booth, and Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) to investigate a death at a chicken farm. “This is like some kind of bad joke,” says the actor, who has a lifelong fear of birds. “Hart can play that game, but I’m going to kill him…. I just won’t show up. I hate birds. They freak me out. It’s more roosters that I’m fearful of, but I’m not crazy about chickens, either.”

Hanson, who plans to shoot at an actual chicken farm with or without David, admits to letting his devilish side get the best of him. “Between Emily, [a passionate animal-rights activist] not wanting to exploit animals and David having a phobia of chickens, it should be an interesting shoot,” he says. “You gotta have a little fun.”
The episode opens with the discovery of a body that looks suspiciously like a half-chicken/half-man creature. “It is bizarre,” Hanson says. “I’m not sure by the end of this episode if anyone’s going to eat chicken again.”

Emily, who volunteers for an organization called Farm Sanctuary, has been a vegan for years. She hopes her meat-eating costar will join her in the episode—and perhaps learn a lesson. “If David’s going to eat chickens, he ought to know where they come from,” she says. “If we can make the public aware of atrocities, these chickens can be ambassadors for other chickens living horrible lives in factory farms.”
