‘Bones’ Season 5 Episode 9 The Gamer in the Grease
Posted by: | CommentsBrennan will lift up her shirt for a guy in the next episode of “Bones” called “The Gamer in the Grease“. On December 3, Brennan and Booth are called to investigate when the remains of a competitive gamer are discovered in a grease truck.

The victim, Steve Rifton, is the only active player known in the gaming community to have received a perfect score on a famous video game. Steve turned his success into a lucrative partnership with a gaming referee and charged fans to play on the very machine that gave him the perfect score.
But between sour business deals and bitter competitors, the team at the Jeffersonian must work to narrow down the many suspects with motive for ending Rifton’s reign as gaming king. Meanwhile, Hodgins, Sweets and Jeffersonian intern Colin Fischer (guest star Joel David Moore) take turns camping out for tickets to a movie premiere.
Zooey Deschanel Going to ‘Bones’ on December 10
Posted by: | CommentsFOX has determined which “Bones” episode the Deschanel sisters should appear together in. Through a press release, the network announced that Emily Deschanel and Zooey Deschanel will do a sister act on the December 10 episode called “The Goop on the Girl“. It will be a special holiday-themed episode which is also guest starring Farrah Fawcett’s widower Ryan O’Neal.

Zooey’s role on the show would be a distant relative of Emily’s Dr. Temperance Brennan named Margaret Whitesell. O’Neal, meanwhile, reprises his role as Max Keenan, Brennan’s dad. When Keenan makes contact with Margaret, he invites her to spend Christmas with him and his daughter. Meanwhile, Brennan and Booth investigate the death of a man dressed as Santa Claus who was blown up after a botched bank robbery.
Zooey Deschanel takes more feature film projects than her sister. She made a starring role in “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” and most recently, “500 Days of Summer”. She is also a recurring role on “Weeds” as the free-spirited Kat.
In the press release, FOX also announced that the 100th episode of the show will be directed by David Boreanaz. It will air in Spring 2010.

Bones – Going back to the 30’s
Posted by: | CommentsMoonlighting did it back in the 80’s. And now Fox’s Bones is planning an all black and white episode to air this spring.
“A lot of shows have done those 40’s film noir episodes,” the show’s executive producer Stephen Nathan tells me. “But what we’re thinking of doing is going back a few more years to a 1930’s era homage to Depression-Era comedies like (1936’s) “My Man Godfrey” (starring William Powell and Carole Lombard) or (1934’s) “The Thin Man” (starring Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles), where they’re living the high life in the midst of the Depression – drinking and having a good time while solving murders.”
What a bizarre concept – Temperance Brennan drinking and having a good time?!

Bones gets a grandpa
Posted by: | CommentsAfter an exhaustive search (and months of me teasing this character in my column), Fox’s Bones has finally cast a grandfather (Or ‘Pops’) for David Boreanaz’s Seeley Booth. Hank Booth, a former army EMT, will be played by a Walton… specifically, Ralph Waite, who played patriarch John Walton on The Waltons from 1972-81.

Sounds like Ralph will need to be spry, considering his character will insist on accompanying his grandson out into the field to investigate “The Foot in the Foreclosure” on the Nov. 19 episode. “This is a really good murder,” promises Nathan. “All that’s left is ash and one foot, and Hank can’t help but tag along.”
The episode kicks off with Hank, recovering from a bypass, leaving a nursing home after getting into physical altercations with his male nurses. “He walks out and comes to live with Booth, whom he raised,” says Nathan. “They’ll try to rekindle the life they had for so many years, but you can never quite reclaim the past.”
We will also learn the reasons behind Booth’s abusive father abandoning his son at age 11, which David hopes will lead an NYPD Blue vet out of retirement. “I want Dennis Franz to play my dad,” David tells me. “He’d be perfect for Booth’s dad. I would love to make this happen.”
Nathan says Bones still plans to cast Booth’s father at a later date, adding, “You can’t introduce too many relatives at once.”
