Bones Spoilers: A New Direction for the Series

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Bones Spoilers: A New Direction for the Series

On tomorrow night’s episode of Bones, The Gravedigger goes on trial.

It’s a huge development and fans can get an early look at “The Boy with the Answer”.

But many viewers want to look ahead to the May 20 season finale – and, hey, who are we to disappoint them?

According to executive producer Hart Hanson, “The Beginning in the End” will be a major step in the evolution Booth and Bones’ relationship, one as significant as the controversial events from the 100th episode.

“The season finale is a good place and a natural place to change the direction of a series, and [in the] fifth season, you’ve got to do that,” Hanson told TV Guide.

Adds Emily Deschanel, who plays Brennan and is pictured above in a scene from the fifth season finale:

“Huge things happen in the episode, and that does change the course of everyone. But it’s funny how subtle things can change people.”

Fox isn’t giving too much away. In its description of “The Beginning in the End,” the network simply says: Brennan helps Booth make a difficult decision.

Got any theories on what that might entail? We’d love to hear them!

Bones – Have Booth & Brennan Already Hooked Up?

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Bones – Have Booth & Brennan Already Hooked Up?

For nearly five years, “Bones” fans have been wondering if and when Booth and Brennan will finally hook up.

But in light of creator Hart Hanson’s recent comments to KTV that the upcoming 100th episode “changes everything” and places “everything in a context,” we got to thinking …

What if the upcoming 100th episode flashback reveals that Booth and Brennan have already hooked up? Like, during their first case, a year before the pilot. Have we been asking the wrong questions about this pair all along?

“Well, you can never ask enough questions,” Hart assured us when we posed this theory.

And then, as you’ll see in the clip below, he fidgeted for a few seconds while deciding what to say next.

“You’re asking me in the most blatant way anyone’s asked, so I don’t have a prepared answer,” he shared. “This is what I would say to you: I think you should watch the episode and then ask me that question.”

While we were slightly worried that this means the episode itself will be vague on what happened between Booth and Brennan all those years ago, Hart assured us that isn’t the case.

“The 100th episode is not vague, there’s no ambiguity to it,” he promised. “What happened, happened. I’m not saying what [you think] happened, happened. I’m saying what happens in the show happened. If the fans are shrieking at me after this, well, then I just deserve it.”

So the expectation is there will be shrieking after the episode?

“The goal is not shrieking,” he said. “The goal is–no, I’m not going to tell you what the goal is… Really what I should say is just wait and watch. Just wait and watch, and then we can discuss it.”

‘Bones’ Digs Up Gravedigger Storyline

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on ‘Bones’ Digs Up Gravedigger Storyline

Back in season 2, a super badass villain was introduced in the form of The Gravedigger, who abducted people, buried them alive and then demanded ransom to reveal their location so they could be saved before they die of suffocation. The case hit close to home as The Gravedigger took Brennan and Hodgins and buried them alive. Bones
eventually revisited this storyline in the fourth season in which the Gravedigger was revealed to be Assistant US Attorney Heather Taffet, who kidnapped Booth and left him for dead. And since then, Bones fans have been begging for justice to be served.

Fortunately, series creator Hart Hanson has teased at Comic-Con that season 5 would feature a trial for the Gravedigger and will reveal the contents of the letter Brennan wrote when she thought she was about to die. But since the FOX procedural drama is now prepping for the final stretch of the season, will there still be room for the Gravedigger case?

“We’re exploring that [episode] idea because the Gravedigger, as the fans know, was set free,” executive producer Stephen Nathan tells Zap2it.com. “And we’re thinking there might be an attempt at trying to bring her to justice. To get rid of her once and for all. Whether that will be successful or not, we’re not sure.”

As for the letter, most fans assume it was written to Booth. However, Nathan was very coy on the subject.

“We’re asking Brennan if we can see the letter, but she’s not forthcoming,” he joked. “Brennan won’t tell us anything about it. We keep asking her. We even asked Emily [Deschanel, who plays Brennan] to ask her. We keep begging her for the answer. I don’t know if she’s telling us the truth or not.”

At least, there’s comfort in knowing that the Gravedigger is not a subject producers have forgotten about.
